Saquon Barkley Ruled Out vs. Rams: Survivor-Pick Impact

Oct 5, 2026

Barkley out with a hamstring injury

Philadelphia is down its top running back. Saquon Barkley left early against the Rams with a hamstring injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

What it means for your survivor pick

Losing a workhorse back mid-game forces the Eagles to lean harder on the pass and a thinner backfield, and that's enough reason to slow down before locking in Philadelphia as your safe survivor pick this week. Hamstring issues also tend to linger, so this is worth monitoring beyond today — if Barkley's availability stays uncertain, the Eagles carry more risk than their record alone suggests. If you'd already penciled in Philadelphia, it's smart to have a backup option ready, and if you're hunting for alternatives, dig into the latest survivor analysis before you commit.
