Packers DL Javon Hargrave Believed to Have Torn Achilles

Oct 12, 2026

Packers lose another defensive lineman

Green Bay's defensive front just took another hit. Javon Hargrave is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles tendon — the latest Achilles injury to strike the Packers' defense this season. It's a serious loss for a unit that's already been thinned up front.

What it means for your survivor pick

Hargrave's absence weakens Green Bay's interior defense, which is worth noting if you were eyeing the Packers as a survivor pick in an upcoming week. An injury like this doesn't automatically flip a matchup, but it chips away at the margin — and survivor is a game of margins. Until we have confirmed game data on Green Bay's opponent and spread, treat the Packers as a wait-and-see team rather than a lock. Check the full matchup and line before you commit your pick, and keep a couple of safer options on the board.
