NFL Survivor Pool Picks: Week 6 (2026)

Oct 13, 2026

The safest Week 6 survivor picks

If you want the shortest answer: the Los Angeles Rams are the clearest survivor pick in Week 6. They're laying 13.5 points at home against Arizona — the widest spread on the entire board, and by a wide margin. When you're trying to survive one more week, the biggest number the market offers is usually where you start.

After that, the New England Patriots (-9.5 at home vs. the Jets) are the only other team favored by more than a touchdown and change. Those two are your headliners. Everything else this week is a step — sometimes a big step — down in confidence.

This is the eternal survivor tension: a double-digit home favorite is exactly the kind of team you'd love to save for a barren week down the road. But a 13.5-point edge is also exactly the kind of margin that keeps you alive now. Which way you lean depends on how deep your pool is and how many of these big names you've already burned.

Spread is the only evidence we're working from here, and the drop-off is steep. After the Rams and Patriots, the market's trust thins out quickly.

Who to pick: the top tier

Los Angeles Rams (-13.5 vs. Arizona)

This is the pick the numbers point to. No favorite in Week 6 is trusted more by the market, and a 13.5-point home spread is a comfortable margin by survivor standards. The only reason to pass is strategic — if you think you'll need the Rams more in a future week, or you've already used them.

New England Patriots (-9.5 vs. the Jets)

The second-biggest number on the board, and a home favorite laying nearly 10. That's a strong survivor profile. If the Rams are spoken for in your pool history, the Patriots are the natural fallback.

A notch down: Ravens, Eagles, Bills

Baltimore (-7 at Cleveland), Philadelphia (-6.5 vs. Carolina), and Buffalo (-6.5 at Las Vegas) all sit in the next tier. These are reasonable picks if you're saving your bigger favorites — just understand you're accepting more risk than you would with the Rams or Patriots. Buffalo is the only one of the three on the road, which is worth noting when a spread is otherwise identical.

The team to be careful with

The one that'll tempt people is Kansas City (-2.5 vs. the Chargers). The name carries weight, and survivor players reach for familiar brands. But the line tells a different story: a 2.5-point home spread is close to a coin flip, not a survivor-grade edge. The market simply isn't giving the Chiefs the cushion you want when a single loss ends your run.

The same caution applies to the thinnest favorites — Seattle (-1.5), Houston (-1.5), and Tampa Bay (-1.5). A point and a half is essentially a pick'em. None of these belong on your survivor card this week regardless of how the team "feels." If you're new to weighing spreads like this, our guide to how survivor pools work breaks down why margin matters so much.

The one-and-done reminder

The rule that defines this format: you can only pick each team once all season. Spending the Rams or Patriots in Week 6 means they're off the table when you might need them in a tougher week. That trade-off — survive now vs. save for later — is the whole game.
