NFL Survivor Pool Picks: Week 2 (2026)
Sep 15, 2026
The safest survivor picks for Week 2
Two teams sit clearly above the rest on the Week 2 board: the San Francisco 49ers, favored by 10.5 at home against Miami, and the Seattle Seahawks, favored by 10 on the road in Arizona. If you want the biggest cushion the market is offering this week, those are your two names.
Everything below flows from a single rule we never break: the betting line is the only evidence we use. We don't have records, injuries, or streaks — and neither should your gut when the spread is telling you something clearer. A double-digit favorite is the market's strongest possible endorsement, and this week two teams cleared that bar.
Week 2's biggest favorites
| Favorite | Opponent | Spread |
|---|---|---|
| San Francisco 49ers | vs. Miami | -10.5 |
| Seattle Seahawks | at Arizona | -10 |
| Los Angeles Rams | vs. NY Giants | -9.5 |
| Los Angeles Chargers | vs. Las Vegas | -8.5 |
| Baltimore Ravens | vs. New Orleans | -7.5 |
| Green Bay Packers | at NY Jets | -6.5 |
| Tampa Bay Buccaneers | vs. Cleveland | -6.5 |
| Kansas City Chiefs | vs. Indianapolis | -5.5 |
Who to actually pick
San Francisco 49ers (-10.5)
The widest spread on the slate. San Francisco at home against Miami is the market's most confident position of the week, and for a survivor player that's exactly what you're shopping for. The trade-off: a 10.5-point home favorite is a valuable chip. If you already used a comparable heavyweight in Week 1, this is the one to burn now. If not, ask whether you'd rather have the 49ers for a tougher week down the road.
Seattle Seahawks (-10)
Just a half-point behind San Francisco, and the only other double-digit favorite this week. That the market lays 10 with a team playing on the road is notable — road favorites of this size are rare, and it signals real conviction. A very strong Week 2 option if you're saving the 49ers.
Los Angeles Rams (-9.5)
A 9.5-point home favorite rounds out the top tier. If you've already used both San Francisco and Seattle in prior weeks, the Rams are the natural next-safest pick by the line. Same math applies: the bigger the favorite, the more future value you spend by using it now.
The team to avoid this week
Be careful with the Kansas City Chiefs. They're a name a lot of players reach for on reputation alone, and this week they're favored by just 5.5 at home over Indianapolis. That's a solid favorite — but it's not close to the double-digit cushion San Francisco and Seattle are offering. In survivor, using a marquee brand at a thin spread is how good runs end quietly. Let the number, not the name, decide.
The same caution goes for anything near the bottom of the board. Atlanta (-1.5) and Houston (-2.5) are favored on paper but essentially coin flips by the market. Those aren't survivor picks; they're guesses.
The one rule that never changes
You only get to pick one team, and once you use it, it's gone for the rest of the season. Taking the 49ers or Seahawks here means not having them in a future week when your options might be far thinner. That's the entire game — balancing this week's safety against next month's scarcity.
No pick is a lock. Favorites lose every single week, which is exactly why survivor pools exist.
