Cowboys RB Malik Davis Carted Off Practice Before Giants Game

Sep 11, 2026

Cowboys running back Malik Davis carted off

Running back Malik Davis was carted off during Cowboys practice, and Dallas may now have to rework its backfield plan ahead of Sunday night's game against the Giants. The team hasn't offered a full picture on the severity, but any player leaving on a cart is worth flagging before you lock in a pick.

What it means for your survivor pick

Backfield uncertainty rarely sinks a team's outlook on its own, but it's the kind of detail that survivor players should track as the week develops. Until Dallas clarifies Davis' status and how it plans to handle the ground game against the Giants, treat this as a monitor situation rather than a reason to change course. Keep an eye on the Cowboys' practice reports and any updated backfield roles between now and Sunday night before committing.

If you're weighing Dallas or any other team this week, more survivor analysis on the blog can help you sort the noise from the signals. New to the format? Brush up on how survivor pools work before you make your call.
