Broncos Backfield Banged Up: Survivor Read on Denver vs. Rams

Broncos backfield dinged up before facing the Rams

Denver's running back room hit Wednesday's practice report hard. Jonah Coleman didn't practice at all, while J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey were both limited ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Rams. Head coach Sean Payton downplayed the concern, saying he thinks "we're going to be all right" at the position for the game.

What it means for your survivor pick

A cluttered practice report at one position usually isn't enough to scare a survivor player off a team, and Payton's confidence points toward Denver managing fine at running back. But limited tags on Dobbins and Harvey plus a full absence for Coleman are worth tracking as the week develops — Thursday and Friday updates will tell you whether this is precautionary or something more. If you're leaning Broncos this week, hold off on locking it in until the game statuses firm up, and keep the Rams matchup in mind before committing.
