Aaron Donald Back for Rams vs. Bills: Week 5 Survivor Read

Oct 10, 2026

Donald is good to go for Monday night

Aaron Donald is back. The Rams defensive tackle practiced in full Friday and said he plans to play on Monday night against the Bills after sitting out Week 4 with back soreness. That's a meaningful boost for a defense facing one of the league's toughest assignments.

The survivor-pick read on the Rams

Even with Donald returning, this isn't the week to lean on Los Angeles. The Rams are only 3-point home favorites over Buffalo in Week 5 — the kind of tight spread survivor players should steer clear of, no matter how healthy the front seven looks. A field-goal margin against a quality opponent is exactly where survivor entries go to die.

The better path is to look ahead. The Rams open as 13.5-point home favorites over Arizona in Week 6 and 8.5-point road favorites at Las Vegas in Week 7 — both far more attractive on paper than this Monday nighter. If you're hunting a safe NFL survivor pick, banking LAR for one of those lopsided spots makes more sense than burning them on a coin-flip against the Bills. Buffalo, meanwhile, lays 6.5 at Las Vegas in Week 6 and just 2.5 at home against Baltimore in Week 8 — only the Week 6 line is comfortable enough to consider.

Bottom line: Donald's return is good news for the Rams, but a 3-point spread keeps them off the Week 5 survivor board. Save LAR for the double-digit matchups and start a free survivor pool if you want to plan those picks ahead.
